Girl Group Song Reviews!

Sexy Mijoo is sexy.
Girl groups have really made a comeback since Autumn last year and there has just been good release after great release. Let's have a recap of the comebacks so far this year!

AOA - Excuse Me

I accept that this song is excellent, but I don't care for it that much. I haven't really been a big fan of AoA's songs since their breakup with Bravesound.

CLC - Hobgoblin

THIS, on the other hand, is the shit I live for. This is Crazy 2.0 and I'm LOVING it. Ever since I saw the "Pepe" MV, I knew that these girls had some sexy and badass to show, but Cube wasn't going to let them show it off. They released lame song after lame song and then BOOM. This is fucking awesome. 4Minute who?

WJSN - I Wish

This one is ultra-light; very unoffensive. Cheng Xiao is still a hottie. Next.

Hello Venus - Mysterious

This is good too but I also don't really care for it. Please Fantagio, let them release another "Wiggle Wiggle," thank you.

Suzy (Miss A) - Yes No Maybe

This is nice and smooth--- the usual JYP production. Sexy doesn't really fit Suzy, but it could have been a totally shit ballad so we really should be grateful.

Hani, Solar, Luna - Honeybee

This one is just awful... my ears hurt. I couldn't even make it through the whole thing.

TWICE - Knock Knock

The song is great but it's a tad safe and unexciting. What a great hook, though, which is almost expected from Twice at this point.

Lovelyz - WoW!

This is my favorite for sure! This is "Destiny" but fun, upbeat, and quirky. I've played this so many times and I'm always humming it. Lovelyz are really a force to be reckoned with. They have an almost flawless title track record. Please never let anyone but 1Piece ever produce for you. Also, Mijoo is hot.

Gugudan - A Girl Like Me

My bitches Sejong and Mina are back with an impressive bop. This is quite the 180 after the generic, bubbly "Wonderland." The song is short, clocking in at only 2:55. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. I can see Gugudan joining the ranks of GFriend and Twice soon. Yeah, it's that good.

GFriend - Fingertip

Holy mother of fucking shit, this song rocks. GFriend took one of their many guitar-heavy dance breaks and made a song out of it. Thank god they ditched the cutesy fairy sound of "Navillera" in favor of the darker side of "Rough." And HOLY HELL the dance break at 3:00 is just fucking LIT man. Did you see Sin.B's ass? Jesus they have come a LONG way from the boring-as-fuck "Glass Bead."

Brave Girls - Rollin'

I have a soft spot for Brave Girls. I thought that "Deepened" was underrated and truly one of Brave Sound's finest works. "High Heels" wasn't too bad either, but I think darker sounds and styling fits them better. This song is great too. Take Stellar's excellent "Crying" and paint it black and add a little moodiness, and you've got "Rollin'." I've been bumping this in my car and that bass is ridiculous.

Well that wraps up this list of reviews. 2017 is great so far, and hopefully the momentum will keep going. K-Pop FINALLY got all the yoloswag out of it's system, and from here on out, it should be smooth sailing. Here's to 2017!
